怎么给论文降低AI率
在此前的博客文章中，我们已经讨论过使用AI来写论文、以及Turnitin查重率和AI率的运作机制等问题。而在今天这篇文章中，小编将专门对“AI率太高”的问题与广大留学生朋友进行分享。
不得不提的是，生成式AI在2022年左右的兴起，给很多需要写论文的人们带来了走捷径的“希望”，但是类似于ChatGPT等生成式的AI（且能够直接帮忙写论文的AI）出来后，Turnitin也紧跟其后，在2023年就推出了他们的AI检测方案（AI detector）。
小编在这里插一句，Turnitin这家公司基本垄断了海外高校的所有查重和查AI的生意，高校都得给他们交钱使用他们的plagiarism和AI报告服务。
这就导致了很多人的“希望”破灭。因为即使你用AI生成的内容人工看起来没问题，能够提交，交上去后还是99%会被Turnitin检测出来。而检测出来后如果AI率超过20%或以上，那么很有可能教授会约谈你，或者直接上报到学校的Academic Integrity Office（学术办公室）去。这种情况下，很多同学可能经历的就是0分、挂科、重交等后果了… 这也就是为什么AI率过高这个问题是实实在在存在且值得我们用一篇博客文章来讲解的原因。
Okay，那么这篇文章并不是专注于讨论AI检测背后的原理是什么。我们在这篇文章里主要想说一下怎么样在用AI写论文的同时，保持不到20%的AI率。或者说是用AI生成了一些内容后怎么把它给润色、降重、以此达到能够被提交的质量，不被Turntiin检测出来。
****郑重声明：1）这并不代表我们的写手老师们都是用AI生成的内容，只是我们过硬的对语法的研究造成了我们清楚怎么样能够快速降低AI率。AND 2) 论文的质量不会因为降AI过后就提升，该Fail或者该得A的论文始终结果不会有太多的改变
下面，我们对几种最常用有效的降AI率方法进行了解释：
1.人工重写
这个方法当然不用多说，这是最有效的方法，但对于语言能力有限的同学也可能是最费时的方法。其实人工写是我们最推崇的方法，因为你的physical大脑神经元firing的次序、自己的论证逻辑和资料收集，还有写出来的句式模式必定是与AI会有区别的。当然，前提是大家一定得用英文直接写而非是翻译器。
2.从Syntax上面入手，减低至少5%+的AI率
什么是Syntax？简单来说，syntax（句法）指代我们每个句子中词语排列的前后顺序和方式。
例如我们会把副词加在形容词前面，把主语加在谓语前面，把as well加在句子最后。这些是我们说话和写作的规律。就拿一个中文句子的例子来说：
“我今天要去洗澡”（这是符合中文句法的表达）。
而我们变更词语组成的顺序：“我要去洗澡今天”/“今天我要去洗澡”（这些表达我们也可以听懂，只是有一些细节性区别，which我们不展开讨论；而从语法句法上来说，这个也是符合规则的）
以上的例子就是改变syntax的方法。而要拿到我们的essay和其他论文当中来，也是一样的，我们通过语法规则允许范围内改变词语的排列，来降低AI率。以下我们列出了一些改变词序/syntax而降低AI率的例子：
- That is not necessarily my fault.
→ That may not be my fault necessarily. - Students often find academic writing difficult.
→ Academic writing is often found difficult by students. - The results clearly show a difference between the two groups.
→ A difference between the two groups is clearly shown by the results. - This issue can significantly affect students’ wellbeing.
→ Students’ wellbeing can be significantly affected by this issue. - Researchers usually collect data before analysing it.
→ Before analysing the data, researchers usually collect it.
3.加入filler words（填充词）
Filler words，也称为填充词，曾经是小编写论文写不够字数时拿来滥竽充数的首选手段。什么是filler words呢？例如我们口语交流中，我们经常会听到人说或自己说：”like”、”I think”、”Well”、”maybe”、或是其他的一些副词。
而英文论文写作中，我们同样可以使用各式各样的filler words来降低AI率。我们来举几个例子：
Example 1:
The original score by John Smith is one of the most significant works in the history of rock.
加入filler words后：The original score composed by John Smith is arguably regarded as one of the most significant and widely praised works in rock history, particularly since the 1960s.
Example 2
Original: Social media affects students’ mental health.
加入后：Social media can, in many cases, affect students’ mental health in a rather negative way, especially when they spend too much time comparing themselves with other people online.
Example 3
Original: The survey shows that students prefer online learning.
加入后：Based on the survey results, it can be said that many students seem to prefer online learning, mainly because it is more flexible and arguably more convenient for their daily schedules.
Example 4
Original: Climate change is a serious global problem.
加入后：Climate change is, without doubt, a very serious global problem that may continue to affect people’s everyday lives in different parts of the world in the coming years.
Example 5
Original: The company improved its sales performance.
加入后：The company was able to improve its overall sales performance to some extent after introducing a number of new marketing strategies and promotional activities.
Okay，这里我们看到，filler words包括了context（比如时间地点时间）、或是简单的adv副词和其他等同于没有的短句（it can be said等等）
这个方法无疑是可以大幅度降低AI的好方法之一。
4.加入transition（逻辑链接、承接等）
这个方法也很奏效，而加入transition这个方法不仅可以降低AI率，而且还可以润色你的essay/论文。
比如我们在一段话前，我们可以加入例如：”more specifically”，”to put it simply”，”to put things into perspective”，”to explain it in simple terms”，”in addition to … , it is also….”等等逻辑短句和词语。当然，也可以多加入moreover、furthermore、beside、also等词语。这样的方式也可以有效打破AI给出的句式和逻辑，让turnitin检测出来的AI率大幅度降低。
我们在这里还是举一个例子：
比如小编用AI生成了一段经济学论文的话语：
Although China’s GDP has seen as steady growth, there are nuances to the overall growth. Youth unemployment is on the rise; the consumption rate is decreasing; certain state-owned enterprises are enduring deficit every year.
而如果我们在第一句后面加入一个逻辑短语和在后面每一句后面加入逻辑连词，那么很有可能AI率会降低：Although China’s GDP has seen as steady growth, there are nuances to the overall growth. To put things into perspective, youth unemployment is on the rise. Besides, the consumption rate is decreasing. In addition to the two economic factors mentioned, certain state-owned enterprises are enduring deficit every year as well.
5.加入刻意的语法错误...
是的，你没有看错。因为比起AI率过高被教授举报和面临挂科/退学来说，语法错误带来的结果会好很好，通常只是扣分而已。这个时候大家就发挥自己的创意，加入各种chinglish、各种拼写错误、各种标点符号错误等等语法问题吧！只要不是太过分，教授通常只会扣一些分数。而我们在用turnitin检测过关后，直接提交即可：）
6.使用类似humanizer的软件
有很多软件现在一键就可以让大家的essay降低重复率。大家可以谷歌搜索类似 “humanizer help pass turnitin”的关键词。当然，这一类软件不是100%有用，且很多时候会收费。最重要的是，他不保证你的essay质量！如果你的原版就会fail，那么你降了AI率过后的版本一定还是会fail。
